August 18

I can't believe the entire Summer has gone by since my last post. I have had 2 sick cats and a trip to Reno NV since I last posted. My poor kitty Lucifer is 15 years old and very frail. Turns out she has a bad thyroid and has to be on medication from now on. Raphael is much younger but has Summer allergies to deal with. Trips to the Vet have been expensive. I did spend the night in Reno playing .05 slots earlier this month, I broke even and won a few free drinks. Luke Bryan is coming to Atlanta this weekend, I'm looking forward to seeing him again. I've hardly been to any concerts this year, just one or two.

April 10

It's been a while since I've posted. I'm going to see Blue Man Group tonight at the Fabulous Fox theater here in Atlanta, one of my favorite spots to catch a concert, and I've never seen them before. I'm into Season 6 of Sons of Anarchy on my Netflix subscription, it's kind of surreal to sit and watch an entire series in less than a month's time, most people watched it over the course of 4 or 5 years. I watched the Series Finale so I already know how it ends. Spring has finally come to Atlanta, my truck is covered with pollen, along with everything else.

February 13

I can't believe I turn 45 in a week. How depressing. I'm not even in my early 40's anymore. I keep telling myself I'm one year younger than Jennifer Anniston, she turns 46 this month. Yesterday my new carpet was installed and it looks very nice. The cats are getting used to it. Nothing special planned for Valentine's Day, it's really a stupid holiday. I might just go to the dive bar for some Kareoke like I usually do.

January 2

New Year's Eve was uneventful, I went to my favorite Dive Bar for some Karaoke. Some random dude came up to me wanting a hug and I had to say "No thanks" like three times before he got the message. I don't like strange men putting their hands on me. The scale read 140 on New Year's Day. Not good, I am immediately cutting back on carbs and sweet stuff, I must have gained 2 or 3 pounds over the holidays. Looking forward to getting my tax refund so I can recarpet my condo.

December 1

Saturday night I went to see Brantley Gilbert at the Arena in Atlanta, very disappointing. First off, I had a headache, which pretty much ruined any chance of having a good time listening to loud music. Second, the acoustics were terrible. The music sounded like static all night, and to make matters worse, there were 3 opening acts. I got there at 7:00 and at 9:00 Brantley hadn't even taken the stage yet. Finally, he comes out, does a pretty decent show, but near the end, starts off on this pro-gun rant, for his song, "Read me my rights." That's when I decided it was time to leave, drunk rednecks that think someone is trying to take their guns away isn't the safest place to be, IMHO. At least I beat all the traffic coming out of the venue, 5 minutes after I got in my car I was on the Interstate.

November 21

I went to see Little Big Town at the Fabulous Fox theater last weekend, would have been a great show if it were not for the obnoxious people next to me, that's what I get for paying extra for good seats. They won tickets off the radio or something and they were just there to drink and be obnoxious. I think I would be better off in the cheap seats with people who were actually there for the music. Next weekend I'm going to see Brantly Gilbert, should be fun. My Thanksgiving plans are a bust, I don't even have any thing lined up, unless I go out with friends or something. I had to give up running, my knees hurt too much to do it anymore. Kinda wished I had entered at least one road race now, just so I can say I did one.

October 6

My injury is mostly healed, I can run again. These damn headaches I've been getting every month prevented me from doing that this morning though, I finally did a Google search to see what I could do to prevent them in the first place. It seems Magnesium might help. Don't know why I didn't think of that sooner. October is my favorite time of the year, the weather is cooler and the leaves start to change colors. Not as dramatically as they did back home in Kentucky, but it's still nice here in Atlanta. Also my shows are back on the air. I need a new place for Karaoke, I don't care for the crowd where I've been hanging out for the past few weeks.
